Our Club

For 60 years, Shoalhaven Heads Surf Life Saving Club has been a proud part of our local community, built around a simple commitment to keep people safe at the beach while bringing our community together.

Our club is more than just a place for surf lifesavers. We are a community of volunteers, families, members, nippers and supporters who share a love of the beach and a commitment to looking after one another.

Our History

Shoalhaven Heads has a long and proud connection with the ocean, and surf lifesaving has played an important role in our community for many years. Our club has grown alongside the local community, with generations of members volunteering their time to patrol our beach, develop lifesaving skills and help create a safer environment for everyone who enjoys the coast.

Over the years, the club has continued to evolve, but the spirit of volunteering and community that sits at the heart of surf lifesaving remains the same.

What We Do

Our primary role is keeping Shoalhaven Heads Beach safe. Our volunteer lifesavers and patrol members dedicate their time to providing beach patrols, responding to incidents and helping educate the public about surf safety and the risks of the ocean.

We also provide opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in surf lifesaving. From our Nippers program through to senior members, training, competition and patrol activities, there is a place for everyone at our club.

Our Nippers program introduces children to the beach in a fun and supportive environment, helping them develop confidence in the water, learn surf awareness and build valuable beach safety skills.

Part of the Community

Community is at the heart of Shoalhaven Heads Surf Life Saving Club. Our members give their time not only to patrol the beach, but also to support local events, activities and initiatives throughout the year.

We are proud to be a club made up of people from all walks of life, brought together by a shared connection. Whether you're a lifesaver, a Nipper, a parent, a volunteer, a competitor or simply someone who loves the beach, we believe everyone has a role to play.

Our club relies on the incredible support of volunteers and the wider community. From patrolling and fundraising to coaching, officiating, organising events and supporting our members, every contribution helps keep our club strong.
