Nippers

Shoalhaven Heads Nippers is all about helping kids build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy everything the beach has to offer. Open to children aged 5–14, Nippers is a great introduction to surf safety, water awareness and beach activities, while giving kids the chance to have fun and make friends.

Children can join Nippers from the age of 5, making it a great way to start developing their confidence in and around the water from an early age.

Our Nippers sessions are held on Sunday mornings from 9.30-11.30. Children are grouped according to age and take part in a range of activities on the sand and in the water, with each session designed to build skills, confidence and an understanding of the beach environment.

With the support of our trained Age Managers and volunteers, Nippers provides a friendly, encouraging environment where kids can learn at their own pace, challenge themselves and, most importantly, have fun.
